“Romper-Stomper/Cherry-Popper”

Performance/Installation, Ringling Underground, Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota, Florida, 2014

This performance combined storytelling, singing, and installation. As my adult character, the Marquis Sha De, I attached an LED unicorn horn to my wig and used it to pop a dozen 3-foot diameter red balloons that were on giant, cherry-like green stems. The “Romper-Stomper” unicorn is a natural born “Cherry-Popper”- a person who leads others to new ideas and new ways of experiencing things.
